Subject + had + verb(past perfect form) + object
Past perfect tense is used to tell that something happened before another action in the past. It is also known as the ‘past’ in the past. It can also show that something happened before a particular time in the past.
- I did not have any money because I had left my wallet at home.
- Leeza had cleaned the house before we arrived there.
- We had made everything ready before sunset.
