Possessive Pronouns

Possessive pronouns are used to show ownership of something. You use possessive pronouns to show that something(a place, a thing or a person) belongs to someone.
The words mine, yours, his, hers, ours and theirs are possessive pronouns. Let us look at some examples.

  • This pen belongs to me. It is mine.
  • This pen is mine and that one is yours.
  • Which book is yours, Aisha?
  • I can see your bike, but where is ours?
